27 May 2016 - Central Bank of Bangladesh (BB)
Feb 2016 cyber-criminals hack into BB’s system and install malware allowing them to log on to the SWIFT network using the bank’s unique code and re-route transactions to new beneficiaries as well as to interfere with the payment reports that the bank relied upon to check transactions.

Successful attack by armed robbers dressed in military uniforms on four banks in Owo ON including branches of First Bank, Skye Bank and Wema Bank. Explosives used to open the vault doors.

At 12 noon 17 armed robbers attack Bank Branches and Bureaux de Change at the Seme LA border post and engage in gun duel with police, SARS and Nigerian Army personnel.

At 6pm heavily armed robbers successfully attacked a Fidelity Bank branch and whilst escaping engaged in a gun battle with police during which a bandit was shot and later died.

A multi-national gang of cyber-criminals infiltrate more than 100 banks across 30 countries and steal up to one billion dollars over two years. According to Kaspersky Lab the cyber-attackers are trying to expand their operations to other countries including the Middle-East, Asia and Africa.
At 3pm in Ikare ON 25 armed robbers dressed in MOPOL uniforms lay siege to the Divisional Police Station and attacked a Cash-in-Transit bullion truck carrying N25m and several bank branches including Ecobank, First Bank, Keystone Bank and Wema Bank.

7am up to 45 armed robbers dressed in military uniforms attack ATMs with explosives at six bank branches including Guaranty Trust Bank and Zenith Bank and then looted the vaults and safes.
14 Oct 2015 - Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State
5pm 7 armed robbers attack a Diamond Bank branch whilst loading a Cash-in-Transit bullion truck collection and are then intercepted by police during their escape.
An IT Staff member of Skye Bank allowed fraudsters access to the bank?s computer system enabling them to electronically transfer funds to other bank accounts.
6.30pm armed robbers attack Divisional Police Station, ATMs and four Bank Branches including Ecobank, First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank and successfully gain entry to the vault of Access Bank

At 11am a car crashes through two perimeter security barriers of the United Nations Headquarters situated in Abuja’s diplomatic district before ramming into the building’s reception area and exploding causing devastation and the abandonment of the building that remains derelict.
